Body found in backyard at Northwest Las Vegas home

Las Vegas police discovered a body in the northwest valley Friday evening.

Metro reported a body was found in the backyard of a house at the 10300 block of Marc Kahre Avenue near Cheyenne Avenue and Hualapai Way around 6 p.m., Lt. Timothy Hatchett said.

The Clark County coroner responded and took over the scene. There has not yet been a response from homicide detectives, Hatchett said.

As of 9:20 p.m., police said the person died of natural causes.
