Clark County coroner IDs man killed in Tivoli Village construction accident

The construction worker killed after scaffolding at Tivoli Village collapsed Monday afternoon has been identified by the Clark County coroner.

Ricardo Nicolas Bautista, 30, of North Las Vegas was on the scaffolding with two other workers when it collapsed about 2 p.m. at the construction site, 302 S. Rampart Blvd.

Las Vegas Fire Department spokesman Tim Szymanski said the other two workers were able to jump to safety. Bautista died at the scene.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is leading the investigation of Bautista’s death. The agency’s Nevada spokeswoman, Teri Williams, said the investigation is open and ongoing and that no other comments will be made until the conclusion of the investigation.

She said the investigation could take several months.
