Coroner names man fatally stabbed east of the Stratosphere

The man fatally stabbed Wednesday night east of the Stratosphere has been identified by the Clark County coroner.
Yandis Venzant-Diaz, 41, was stabbed Wednesday night before being transported to University Medical Center where he later died, according to police. His death was ruled a homicide by coroner.
Metro officers were called to the 2000 block of Santa Rita Drive, near Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard South, at 8:23 p.m. Wednesday, Metro spokeswoman Officer Laura Meltzer said Wednesday. Police said that a caller first reported a fight and the stabbing occurred just after.
No arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing.
