Fire damages vacant home Tuesday morning in east Las Vegas

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire Tuesday morning at a vacant home in the east Las Vegas Valley.

The fire broke out at 4275 Sheppard Drive, near Nellis Boulevard and Flamingo Road, about 7:55 a.m., Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Buchanan said.

Arriving firefighters reported large amounts of smoke and flames at the home.

Buchanan said the fire was extinguished at 8:11 a.m., and no injuries were reported.

The fire is under investigation, and no damage estimate was provided.
