Las Vegas bicyclist critically injured in Friday car accident dies

A bicyclist who was hospitalized in critical condition after being hit by a car Friday morning in the northwest valley died Saturday from his injuries.
Christopher Kenneth Stephens, 54, of Las Vegas was riding a bicycle near Alexander Road west of Forest Knoll Lane when a Honda Fit traveled into the bicycle lane and crashed into him at about 10:40 a.m., police said.
Police said the Honda’s front end made contact with the bicycle’s rear and Stephens. He was taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit with critical injuries.
The car’s driver remained at the scene and was not impaired, police said.
