Man dead after shooting in northeast Las Vegas apartment complex

A man died Thursday night after he was shot in the parking lot of a northeast valley apartment complex.
Police were called to Liberty Village Apartments, near Cheyenne Avenue and Nellis Boulevard, at 9:24 p.m. Within the complex, officers arrived to the 4800 block of Luxor Way where they found the man shot, Metro homicide Lt. Dan McGrath said.
He was transported to University Medical Center, where he died.
As of 11 p.m., it was not immediately clear what led up to the shooting. Police said no suspect was in custody.
The coroner's office will name the man who died once his family has been notified.
