Man found fatally stabbed near Desert Inn and Maryland

One man died after being stabbed early Monday morning near Desert Inn Road and Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas police said.

Police responded just after 2 a.m. to reports of a man bleeding in the street in the 3300 block of Brussels Street, where they found a man with stab wounds lying on the sidewalk, police said.

He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he died, police said. The Clark County coroner’s office will release his name after his family has been notified.

Police have made no arrest and had no suspects as of late Monday morning. The motive for the stabbing is still unknown, police said.

This is the 87th homicide in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2014.
