The man shot and killed Thursday afternoon in the north valley has been identified by the office of the Clark County Coroner.

Kishawn Washington, 18, was taken to University Medical Center where he died, police said. The office of the Clark County Coroner has ruled Washington's death a homicide.

Police were called around 4:30 p.m. Thursday to the 3300 block of Civic Center Drive, near East Cheyenne Avenue, police spokeswoman Ann Cavaricci said.

According to police, a confrontation occurred around dusk, which turned into a fight and ended with the shooting. The shooting occurred inside an apartment complex near the Lucky Club casino, police said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the homicide.
