Woman dies after being shot in leg in northeast valley
A woman who was transported to the hospital after being shot early Saturday morning has died, police said.
Metro Lt. Kendall Bell said police received a call at approximately 2:41 a.m. Saturday morning about a possible homicide at 3867 Terrazzo Avenue, near the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard North and East Cheyenne Avenue.
Lt. Bell said that police "received a call about a woman screaming for help." Officers responding to the location found a woman who had been shot in the leg, Lt. Bell said. The woman was transported to University Medical Center where she died from her injuries, Lt. Bell said.
The victim has not yet been identified by the office of the Clark County Coroner. Police do not have a suspect in custody at this time, Lt. Bell said.
