Phone problems hit VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System

A problem with the telephone system at the Veterans Affairs Southern Nevada Healthcare System was fixed at 2 p.m. Monday.

VA spokesman Chuck Ramey said the agency’s phone service provider resolved the issue by sending technicians to the North Las Vegas facility to reset the circuit for handling calls.

“The VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused our veterans,” Ramey said.

People trying to call the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System were getting a busy signal. The phone system handles about 106,000 calls per month.
