Ryland extends clearance event through Monday

Ryland Homes' end-of-the-month clearance event has been extended one final weekend due to its incredible popularity. The program started in mid-September and will end Monday.

"This is one of the best interest rates available on a new home in Southern Nevada," said Randy Char, vice president of sales and marketing for Ryland Homes.

During the event, those who buy a move-in ready Ryland Home before Monday and use the builder's preferred lender have the opportunity to get a 1.75 percent interest rate the first year, 2.75 percent the second year and 3.75 percent for the loan's third through 30th year.

"It is a no-brainer for anyone who is paying rent because payments start at just $518 per month to own your own home," Char said.

One of Ryland's own has even made the switch from renting to buying during the builder's clearance event.

"I work with Ryland Title, so I get information about new incentives within the company," said Chris Strouse, title manager. "When I saw the email about this program, I stopped what I was doing, crunched the numbers and called my husband to tell him we need to buy a house."

Strouse and her husband, Richard, purchased the 2,169-square-foot Natalia model at Ryland Homes' Catania neighborhood in Henderson.

Strouse said she expects to move into her new home by the end of the year. Catania is a gated neighborhood priced from the mid-$100,000s, and includes a pool, spa, clubhouse and park.

Five two-story plans are available at Catania, ranging in size from 1,572 to 2,179 square feet with as many as four bedrooms and three baths.

"The floor plans are great for those buying their first or second home and the amenities are just perfect for what residents will use on a regular basis," said Char.

Catania is located in Henderson near St. Rose Parkway. It is near neighborhood shopping and dining as well as major shopping centers. St. Rose Hospital's Siena campus is close, as is the M Resort and the Henderson Executive Airport.

"Catania is also close to highly rated schools including Liberty High School, Del Webb Middle School and Schorr Elementary School," Char said.
