Tony Sanchez to speak at UNLV kickoff luncheon

The UNLV Alumni Association will host the Rich Abajian Football Kickoff Luncheon featuring Rebels coach Tony Sanchez from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the UNLV Student Union Ballroom.
The luncheon, which is open to the public, will help kick off the 2016 season by giving fans an in-depth look at this year’s team two days before Thursday’s opener against Jackson State at Sam Boyd Stadium.
The event has been named in memory of Rich Abajian, a former UNLV football assistant coach and one of the program’s biggest supporters for more than 30 years who died earlier this year. Tickets, which cost $30 ($25 for UNLVIP members), can be purchased at unlvalumni.org or by calling (702) 895-3621.
