A Huntington, Texas, teenager was arrested Monday after he was accused of shooting his parents’ pets.
According to the Angelina County Sheriff’s Office, Colton David Cook was taken into custody around 4:30 p.m. The suspect allegedly shot and killed his parents’ dogs in their yard on the 11000 block of East Highway 103.
A report shows Cook allegedly pulled the trigger after his parents refused to give him $20. Two of the dogs died immediately, and a third was wounded and later put down by officials.
The 17-year-old is charged with cruelty to animals. He was released Tuesday on $3,500 bond.
