Video shows woman kicking, throwing 19-day-old baby
A video that circulated Facebook this week is being investigated after it showed a mother abusing a newborn infant by kicking and throwing it.
At one point in the video, the woman is heard loudly praying and yelling, as well as asking another child to kick the 19-day-old baby. The infant is OK and the woman was detained, WBTV reported.
The mother shown in the video was taken to a psychiatric facility while Child Protective Services and the Attorney General's office investigates the incident.
CPS said the infant is safe with family. It is unknown if it suffered any injuries.
