Woman calls 911 after turkey floods her bathroom — PHOTO

A woman in Rhode Island had her bathroom flooded while she wasn’t home thanks to an intruder — a wild turkey.

Nancy Page said the turkey had broken through her bathroom window and accidentally turned on the faucet, which ran for hours. When she came home, the turkey was sitting on the counter.

She told WLNE she didn’t know what to do, so she closed the door and called 911.

“My emergency was water gushing through the ceiling… and a turkey in my bathroom,” Page told WLNE. “(The dispatcher) said what? And I said it again and said this really is true.”

After police, fire and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management arrived, the turkey was safely let outside, and with a little nudge, it was on its way.

“Everybody has gotten a really good laugh out of this because it is so comical,” she said.
