Clark County museum guide


-- The Clark County Museum, 1830 S. Boulder Highway, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except Christmas and New Year’s Day. The exhibit “Cowboys and Indians: Myth and Reality” is scheduled to be on display through June 30. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for seniors and children. Call 702-455-7955.

-- The Discovery Children’s Museum, 360 Promenade Place, is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. General admission is $12. Visit discoverykidslv.org.

-- The National Atomic Testing Museum, 755 E. Flamingo Road, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. -- The National Museum of Organized Crime & Law Enforcement, the Mob Museum, 300 Stewart Ave., is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets are $19 for adults, $13.95 for children 5 to 17 and students, $15.95 for seniors, military, law enforcement and teachers and $10 for Nevada residents. Visit themobmuseum.org.

-- The Neon Museum, 770 Las Vegas Blvd. North, offers guided tours every half-hour from 10 a.m. to sunset daily. Reservations are recommended. -- The Nevada State Museum, 309 S. Valley View Blvd., is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays through Mondays. Admission is $9.95 for Nevada residents, $18.95 for adults and free for children 18 or younger and for members of the Nevada State Museum or the Springs Preserve. Visit museums.nevadaculture.org.

-- The Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort, 500 E. Washington Ave., is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $1 for guests 12 or older. Visit parks.nv.gov.

-- The Pinball Hall of Fame, 1610 E. Tropicana Ave., is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Admission is free, but bring quarters to play the games. Visit pinballmuseum.org.
