GREEN VALLEY GROCERY PROMOTION TO BENEFIT PHILHARMONIC
Green Valley Grocery has selected the Las Vegas Philharmonic for its charitable promotion during May.
Customers can purchase a standard-size Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bar, Hershey’s Milk Chocolate with Almond bar or Hershey’s with Caramel bar at any Green Valley Grocery store, and 10 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the philharmonic and its free Youth Concert Series.
The Youth Concert Series is a key component of the orchestra’s educational initiatives and community outreach.

INJURED MILITARY MEMBERS OFFERED FREE RECREATION OPPORTUNITIES
Injured and/or disabled military service members, active or inactive, can participate in sports and recreation activities offered by the city of Las Vegas at no cost, made possible through a grant from the Nevada Department of Veterans Services.
Free six-month adaptive recreation membership passes are available to qualified veterans.
The city’s adaptive recreation programs include: Project D.I.R.T, offering outdoor adventure experiences and fishing clinics; F.L.O.A.T, featuring private swim lessons and aquatic therapy; G.O.L.F., offering seasonal golf lessons; the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program, featuring low-impact, gentle range-of-motion group exercise; and Paralympic Sports Club Las Vegas, offering wheelchair sports training and competitions.
