CHILDREN’S ARTS CLASSES PLANNED
Monthly arts classes for youths are set to begin Jan. 25 at the Contemporary Arts Center, 1217 S. Main St.
Parent and Me classes for youths ages 3-5 are scheduled from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Jan. 25 and cost $15 or $12.50 if paid by Jan. 17.
Classes for youths ages 5-12 are scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 25 and cost $30 or $25 if paid by Jan. 17.
The classes are subsidized in part by a grant from Wells Fargo.

CAREER FAIR, WORKSHOPS PLANNED FOR VETERANS
A career fair and workshop for veterans and military members is scheduled Jan. 11 at the Student Union at UNLV, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway.
Workshops are scheduled from 8:30 to 11:15 a.m., and the career fair is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to veterans, military personnel and their family.

ELVIS BIRTHDAY LUNCHEON PLANNED AT LAS VEGAS SENIOR CENTER
An Elvis birthday luncheon for seniors 50 or older is scheduled at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 9 at the Las Vegas Senior Center, 451 E. Bonanza Road.
The event is set to feature an Elvis Presley film and some of his favorite foods.
