Report: Favre admits leaving voicemails

NEW YORK — Brett Favre reportedly admitted leaving voicemails for the former New York Jets game hostess to whom a Website says he also sent lewd photos. Fox television reported Sunday that Favre told league investigators he left phone messages for Jenn Sterger, who worked for the Jets in 2008.

‘Paranormal’ follow-up scares $41.5M out of fans

LOS ANGELES — Fear has taken hold at the box office with a $41.5 million debut for scary movie “Paranormal Activity 2,” according to studio estimates Sunday. Paramount Pictures’ follow-up to last year’s micro-budgeted hit “Paranormal Activity” got a jump on Halloween as fans packed theaters for another documentary-style thriller about a household plagued by a menacing spirit.
