Man sentenced to prison in bicyclist’s death

Charley Matanza, 52, was sentenced to six to 20 years in prison Wednesday for killing 43-year-old Gary Lommason in June 2009 when he drove onto a sidewalk, hitting the bicyclist, near Desert Inn and Sandhill roads. Matanza was using Xanax and passed out at the time of the crash.
