LAKE MEAD — Cool fall temperatures are extending fishing time, especially in the mornings. Live shad are generally the bait of choice for catching striped bass. Look for them in the backs of coves. The primary destination for catching live shad is Vegas Bay where the wash enters the lake. Swimbaits also will catch the fish.
