Coronado softball’s Bailey Goldberg went 2-for-3 with a home run in the 5A state title game to earn Nevada Preps Girls Athlete of the Week honors.

Claire Rawlins trailed Basic’s Raquel Chavez for much of the race, but stayed within striking distance to the end. She then raced past Chavez and held off Sierra Vista’s Sarriah Brown to win the 3.1-mile race in 19 minutes, 16 seconds.

Puskas surged to the lead entering the final mile and held off the rest of the field to finish the 3-mile course in 18 minutes, 25.7 seconds, for her biggest cross country win of a still-young prep career.
