Matt Mitchell threw five shutout innings Friday to lead the Bishop Gorman baseball team to a 9-0 victory over Canyon Del Oro (Ariz.) in the championship game of the Chris Moon Classic in Tucson, Arizona.

SOFTBALL: San Juan Hills rallies to top Gorman

Sophia Marzolo went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs Friday to lead San Juan Hills (Calif.) to an 8-6 win over Bishop Gorman in the Savanna Invitational in Anaheim, California.

VOLLEYBALL: Mulholland helps Mustangs sweep Laughlin

Hannah Mulholland had three kills and three aces in both ends of a doubleheader Friday to help The Meadows’ girls volleyball team sweep host Laughlin, 25-14, 25-14 and 25-14, 25-12.
