Spring Valley has come a long way from its days as a 1-24 team, but Centennial has won six straight state championships and once again stands in the way of its girls basketball title hopes.
Both are Class 5A state volleyball semifinalists, but Gorman has been the state’s top program in the past five seasons, while Centennial has been rebuilding this season.
Liberty was missing about 40 players because of COVID protocols, but because the Patriots have so many players out for football, they were able to play the game.
