Centennial football coach Leon Evans is a believer that good offense starts with good defense.

His team effectively applied that philosophy Friday, scoring early and often, and ultimately steamrolling visiting Desert Oasis, 42-7.

Ricardo Gonzalez, Isaac Arellano and Nathaniel Reyes each scored a first-half goal Friday to help Western’s boys soccer team hold off visiting Clark, 3-2.
