The three-time All-Southern Nevada first-team selection has committed to play college football at Hawaii. He enrolled early to join the Rainbow Warriors for spring practice in his home state.

We’ve reached the unofficial halfway point of the prep football season, and I’m ready to hand out the Fieldies. My midseason awards usually include a free lunch and a T-shirt for the winners, but I’m saving money for a new pair of Jordans, so no dice this year.

VOLLEYBALL: Klopfer powers Gators past Bengals

Rachel Klopfer had 35 kills, 14 digs and two aces Thursday as Green Valley’s girls volleyball team outlasted visiting Bonanza, 25-17, 18-25, 25-22, 26-28, 15-11.

VOLLEYBALL: Goddards guide Aggies to sweep

Hannah Goddard had 10 kills and seven aces Thursday as Arbor View’s girls volleyball team swept visiting Cheyenne, 25-10, 25-14, 25-12.

TENNIS: Clark girls edge Bonanza

Paige Smith and Andrea Busicescu each went 2-0 in singles Wednesday to help Clark’s girls tennis team to a 10-8 win at Bonanza.
