Seven-time defending state champion Bishop Gorman and Liberty meet Saturday at Sam Boyd Stadium in a rematch of last year’s Division I (now Class 4A) state title game that Gorman won 62-21.
The 14-team Legacy Tip-Off Classic boys basketball tournament, featuring nine local teams, begins at 4 p.m. on Thursday. The championship game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. All games will be held at Legacy High.

Arbor View (10-1) will get another shot at seven-time defending state champion Bishop Gorman (13-0) in the region title game at 1 p.m. Saturday at Arbor View. The winner advances to the Class 4A state championship Dec. 3.
Four teams — Arbor View, Bishop Gorman, Damonte Ranch and Liberty — get to practice in the morning and then stuff their bellies with turkey, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie before the Class 4A state semifinals.
