Nikolas Bracken won two individual events and ran on a winning relay team to lead Bishop Gorman’s boys track team to a 104-41 home win over Desert Oasis on Tuesday.
The Centennial girls track team won eight events at the Heikotter Invitational at Faith Lutheran on Saturday, running away with the team score and defending its title from the last season. Centennial’s boys team won five events to win the meet, also winning for the second year in a row.
The Diamondbacks have a large pool of returning talent and should be competitive this season.
The Diamondbacks are hoping to compete for one of the top spots in the state meet.
