Tommi Stockham had 17 kills, 14 digs and two aces as Bishop Gormans girls volleyball team held on for a 25-21, 25-10, 26-28, 26-24 win at Palo Verde on Wednesday night.
Arbor View’s Keith Williams led at the front of a pack of five runners early. Eventually, he managed to hold off PahrumpValley’s Bryce Odegard and Centennial’s Alexander Miller in the final quarter mile, putting in a good finishing kick to cross the line in 16 minutes and 13 seconds.
Garrison Stinnett, C.J. Perkins, and Chris Jepson each finished 2-0 in singles to lead Basic’s boys tennis team to an 11-7 road win over Eldorado on Monday.
Tech’s girls tennis team won a tiebreaker 4-2 to edge visiting Virgin Valley 10-9 on Monday.
Madison Knoblock was 3-0 in singles and Liberty’s girls tennis team edged visiting Eldorado 10-9 on a tiebreaker on Tuesday.
Jonathan Lai and Marshall Nelson went 3-0 in doubles to lead the the Bonanza boys tennis team to a 10-8 home victory over Spring Valley on Tuesday.
Andrada Stanciu and Ariana Stanciu each finished 3-0 in singles, and Sierra Vista’s girls tennis team won the tiebreaker points 35-31 to hold on for a 10-9 home win over Desert Oasis on Wednesday.
Tanner Albright and Ojas Sali each went 3-0 in singles to help Ranchos boys tennis team to a 10-8 road win over Las Vegas on Wednesday afternoon.
Ameila McManus and Riley Divich scored goals to lift Faith Lutheran to a 2-0 home victory over Western on Thursday evening.
