There are a number of interesting league games taking place in Southern Nevada high school football this week. Here are five to keep an eye on.

North Norman (Oklahoma) won four matches by fall on Thursday en route to a 42-24 win over host Cimarron-Memorial in the championship match at the Spartan Duals.

Virgin Valley’s flag football team made a defensive stop in the third overtime and proceeded to score a touchdown and claim a 51-45 road win over Las Vegas High on Friday.
Troy Brown scored 24 points on Thursday, and Centennial’s boys basketball team pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat visiting Cimarron-Memorial, 62-56.
Alexandria Williams had 11 points, and Chaparral’s girls basketball team held on for a 36-34 victory over Eldorado on Thursday.
Geoff Faries connected on five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points as Basic’s boys basketball team held on for a 64-61 win over visiting Chaparral on Thursday.
Natalie Gennuso caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Sabrina Saldate with five seconds left in the game Thursday to lift host Las Vegas over Centennial 18-14.
Las Vegas High’s Deondre Northey scored a game-high 24 points Tuesday to lead the Wildcats’ boys basketball team to a 70-67 overtime win over host Green Valley.
Temerity Bauer scored 15 points, and Green Valley’s girls basketball team rallied in the fourth quarter for a 61-57 victory over host Las Vegas High on Tuesday.
