Woman found dead near downtown earlier this month IDd
The second of two people shot and killed near downtown earlier this month has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office.
Metro officers were called just after 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 about a dead woman who had been shot and was inside a vehicle in the 2400 block of Fremont Street.
The woman was identified as 21-year-old Shelby Robinson, of Las Vegas, staff said Tuesday. She died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Just 15 minutes before Robinson was found, officers were called about a quarter mile north to the 2100 block of Ballard Drive, near the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Eastern Avenue. There, they found Jamel Colbert, 32, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He died at University Medical Center, police said.
Police said the couple were dating but don't believe the slayings are "domestic related."
No arrests have been made and police have not determined a motive.
