State troopers find dead man in SUV near Lake Mead

Nevada Highway Patrol troopers found a man dead in an SUV near Lake Mead on Thursday afternoon.

Highway patrol spokesman Loy Hixson said the troopers were originally sent to check out reports of a fatality from a single-vehicle collision just before 2 p.m. Troopers arrived about 30 minutes later and discovered a man’s body inside a vehicle near Pabco Road and Lake Mead Boulevard.

Troopers determined there was no collision, and Metro assumed the investigation, Hixson said.
