Sunny Thursday ahead as Las Vegas warms into the weekend

Sunshine, cooler temperatures and a northernly breeze are expected across the Las Vegas Valley on Monday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

After light rain disrupted practice sessions of the Las Vegas Formula One Grand Prix Thursday evening, more showers will fall overnight and throughout Friday.

The thunderstorm that raced across the Las Vegas Valley Wednesday afternoon has largely moved out, but forecasters say the break in the wet weather may be brief.
