Pedestrian critical after crash on Las Vegas Boulevard

A pedestrian suffered critical injuries after being hit by a sedan Friday afternoon on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Las Vegas Boulevard North is shut down in both directions between Searles Avenue and Foremaster Lane, near Owens Avenue, where the noon crash happened, according to Las Vegas police.

The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition, but Las Vegas police said they expect the pedestrian to survive.
