A person was shot at an apartment complex in downtown Las Vegas Wednesday morning.

The shooting happened about 10:25 a.m. in the 500 block of South 10th Street, near Las Vegas and Charleston boulevards, according to Metro officer Jesse Roybal.

The victim was reportedly shot in the arm and taken to University Medical Center, police said.

One person has been taken into custody, Roybal said.
