The Shadow Ridge baseball team scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to bring the game within two on Monday, but visiting Palo Verde was too much as the Panthers held on for a 10-8 win.
The Centennial girls track team won eight events at the Heikotter Invitational at Faith Lutheran on Saturday, running away with the team score and defending its title from the last season. Centennial’s boys team won five events to win the meet, also winning for the second year in a row.
