The Las Vegas Review-Journal is excited to present the Academic Excellence Awards, celebrating 1st through 12th-grade students in Southern Nevada who shine in academics, community involvement, citizenship, and leadership!
Do you know a student who deserves the spotlight? Now’s the time to recognize them! In addition to twelve outstanding honorees, one extraordinary 12th-grader will receive the Community Commitment Award, sponsored by Findlay Subaru of Las Vegas, for excellence in community service and academic dedication.
Award Details for Academic Excellence Award Recipients:
- A custom Academic Excellence Award
- A $1,000 scholarship
- An invitation to the exclusive Academic Awards Dinner for them and four guests
Eligibility Criteria: Students who embody qualities like:
- Academic Excellence
- Responsibility
- Leadership
- Extracurricular Activity / Community Service
Rules:
- Nominations are open to all Southern Nevada students in public, private, charter, magnet, and homeschool settings. Anyone can nominate a student – teachers, principals, coaches, family members, friends, and more!
- Nomination forms are available on the Las Vegas Review-Journal website.
Information About The Contest:
- An independent panel of judges will determine the Academic Excellence Award recipients in each grade level, where one student from each grade level will win the award.
- Winners will be notified the week of April 14, 2025, and will receive an invitation to the in-person Academic Excellence Awards Dinner. The scheduled date and location are to be determined. The nominator and the school principal will be among each winner’s guests.
- Winners will also be announced in the Academic Excellence Awards special section in the issue of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Nomination Deadline: Monday, March 24, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
