Sprouts’ northwest Las Vegas store opening next month

The Sprouts grocery store planned for the northwestern Las Vegas Valley has a new opening date of Sept. 27.

The store originally planned to open in August but experienced construction delays, said Dave Johnson of the New Market Advisors commercial real estate firm.

The 30,000-square-foot store will open at 7 a.m. Sept. 27, according to a statement from the Phoenix-based grocery chain.

The store will be located at 8441 Farm Road, near the intersection with Durango Drive. A CVS expected in the same shopping center is slated to open around October.

The first 200 shoppers get 20 percent off their first total purchase and every 15th shopper gets a coupon book, according to the statement. Sprouts usually employs at least 100 people at each location. Sprouts has plans for another new grocery store in the southern part of the valley next year.

The grocery chain has six open stores in the valley, according to the company’s website.
