Police said the woman, whose age was not released, was walking south on Decatur Boulevard near Russell Road when a man stopped and offered her a ride.
Police said the man then drove the victim to a desert area and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint.

He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants, police said.
The vehicle he drove was described as a late '80s to early '90s model burgundy four-door sedan in good condition.
