A man’s death in the area of Sunset Park on Wednesday is being investigated as a possible case of self-defense, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
In a news release Thursday, Metro said a man died from apparent gunshot wounds late Wednesday in the 2600 block of East Sunset Road, just east of Harry Reid International Airport.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Metro said. A person “related to the incident” was detained at the scene, Metro said, though that person was later released.
The homicide, which is still being investigated, will be submitted to the Clark County district attorney’s office for a self-defense review, Metro said.
No further information on the homicide was available as of late Thursday afternoon.
