North Las Vegas police investigating body found in parked vehicle

North Las Vegas police are investigating a body found in a car Thursday evening near Craig Road and Allen Lane.

Police responded to the 3700 block of West Craig about 6:15 p.m., where officers found the body, North Las Vegas police spokeswoman Ann Cavaricci said.

Cavaricci said the death was deemed “suspicious” because the person’s cause of death wasn’t immediately apparent.

It’s unclear how long the person who died had been in the parked vehicle. The Clark County coroner’s office will determine the cause and manner of death for the person who died.

The coroner also will name the person found dead once his or her family has been notified.
