Man hospitalized with nonlife-threatening wounds after being shot

A man was hospitalized after being shot in the leg in the eastern valley.

Officers responded just after 10 a.m. to multiple reports of gunfire at 4801 E. Sahara Ave. where they found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg, Metro spokesman Larry Hadfield said.

The man was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, Hadfield said. No arrests have been made, and no details about a possible suspect were available.

Hadfield said Metro is investigating the shooting.
