Shooting in Laughlin leaves 1 man in serious condition

One man is in serious condition after an attack in Laughlin on Tuesday night.

A 50-year-old man wounded a 34-year-old man at about 11:20 p.m. after a dust-up in a parking lot at 3550 Bay Sands Drive in Laughlin, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon said. The 34-year-old man argued with the 50-year-old’s daughter before the injury, Gordon said; he characterized their argument as domestic.

The suspected assailant was arrested at the site, Gordon said.

Whether the injury indicates a shooting or a stabbing remains unknown, Metro spokesman Larry Hadfield said.

The man injured was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Hadfield said.

No further information was immediately available.
