Colorful altars and sugar skulls took center stage at the Springs Preserve’s 10th annual Dia de Muertos celebration in Las Vegas.

The three-day event that ended Sunday celebrated the 3,000-year-old Hispanic tradition honoring loved ones who have died. In addition to sugar skull decorating and displays of decorated altars, the festival also featured live theater and traditional dance performances, mariachis, face painting and an art exhibition.
