8 places to celebrate National Beer Day in Las Vegas

Raise a glass, grab a stool or tap the keg — it’s National Beer Day on Tuesday.

The Internet will tell you the day came into fashion in 1933, when Pres. Roosevelt took the first steps to ending Prohibition.

By the way, for a while after that happened, the beer bought and sold had to be less than 4-percent alcohol — less than a Pabst Blue Ribbon.

We asked our Facebook fans where to grab a cold one today to celebrate, and here are some of their suggestions.

Casino Royale Hotel at 3411 Las Vegas Boulevard South

Mike Tarayos suggested the $1 Michelob bottles, an all day-all night special. The hotel also has $.75 9 oz. draft beer, according to their Twitter. Oh, and if you need something to soak up the alcohol, this is where the White Castle is.

Tenaya Creek Brewery at 3101 N. Tenaya Way

A few people recommended their Hauling Oats Oatmeal Stout, which the brewery says is made with “the subtle aroma of chocolate chip oatmeal cookies.” Tasty.

Bad Beat Brewing at 7380 Eastgate Road Ste 110, Henderson

Henderson Booze District-based Bad Beat beer can be found at multiple locations around the valley, from Applebee’s to Golden Nugget to Atomic Liquors in Downtown Las Vegas. You can click here to find their beer. Jeff Shumway also recommends the Basil Pale Ale.

Ellis Island at 4178 Koval Lane

If you like mixing a little karaoke with your beer-drinking night out, this is a good place to go. Ellis Island’ Weiss brew is a local favorite.

Banger Brewing at 450 Fremont Street

This downtown brewery features a selection of cleverly named craft beers, including the El Heffe (a jalapeno and serrano-infused beer) and the Kai-Czar (an imperial stout).

Four Kegs at 276 N. Jones Boulevard

As Andrew said on Facebook, “Coldest Coors Light in Las Vegas.” If you’re looking for the coldest beer in Henderson, order a Pabst Blue Ribbon at the Gold Mine.

Shakespeare’s Grille & Pub at 790 Coronado Center, Henderson

Shakespeare’s also does a pub quiz every Tuesday, so you can have even more fun while you drink. Oh, and they have more than 100 beers.

Crafthaus at 7350 Eastgate Road Ste 110, Henderson

Another from the Henderson Booze District, they also offer a clever Russian imperial stout, called “Comrade,” at 8% ABV. You can also get their beers on tap at a lot of locations around town.
