B&B RISTORANTE PLANS FARM-TO-TABLE DINNER IN OVERTON

B&B Ristorante at The Venetian plans to host a farm-to-table dinner May 2 50 miles north of Las Vegas in the Moapa Valley at Quail Hollow Farm, 1395 N. Anderson St., in Overton. The dinner is set to feature Quail Hollow Farm fresh produce and prime black Angus beef from the Good Family Farm. A cocktail reception with small bites on the veranda overlooking the farm is planned for 5 p.m., to be followed by a four-course, family-style dinner at 6 p.m., served in the fields on fine linen and china and paired with wine.

UNLVINO EVENTS SET FOR APRIL 16-18

UNLVino events are scheduled for April 16-18 to raise scholarship funds for UNLV’s William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration. Along with tastings, entertainment is planned, including musicians Frankie Moreno and Franks & Deans. Hospitality leaders will be recognized with the Dom Perignon Award of Excellence.

Bubble-Licious is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. April 16 in Doge’s Palace Plaza at The Venetian, 3355 Las Vegas Blvd. South, and will feature small plates and a variety of champagnes and sparkling wines. Tickets are $125 in advance and $150 at the door.

Sake Fever is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. April 17 at the pool at Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd., and will feature a variety of sakes, Japanese spirits and cocktails, cuisine and entertainment. Tickets are $100 in advance and $125 at the door.

MCCALL’S TO HOST CHARITY HAPPY HOURS AT STRATOSPHERE

McCall’s Heartland Grill in the Stratosphere, 2000 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to debut the Whiskey Bar in April, stocked with a selection of American-made bourbons and whiskeys. To kick it off, McCall’s plans to host a series of Celebrity Happy Hours. Each will feature a radio host, who will mix and mingle with the crowd from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Whiskey Bar. Each event is open to the public and will feature several whiskey drink and food specials. For each event, the Stratosphere plans to donate $1,000 on behalf of each radio host to the nonprofit organization of their choice.

“America’s Got Talent” season-five champion Michael Grimm is scheduled to entertain during the Blues and Bayou Brunch inside Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station, 4949 N. Rancho Drive, at 11 a.m. April 26.

Mercadito is hosting weekly Wednesday Tequila Dinners at Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd. The four-course dinner offers off-menu items paired with tequilas including anejo, blanco and reposado variations.

The cost is $36 per person with a minimum of two per table. Four menus will rotate weekly over three months.

Las Vegas Restaurant Week is scheduled to raise funds for Three Square food bank June 15-26, when participating restaurants around the valley will feature prix fixe menus for breakfast, lunch or dinner ranging in price from $20.15 to $50.15. Bellagio executive chef Edmund Wong plans to host the Executive Chef’s Culinary Classroom, a series of interactive, two-hour cooking classes through Nov. 10. Wong and his culinary team will share ideas and techniques as they guide guests through the steps to creating a three-course meal.
