Dining Pick of the Week: Bachi Burger

Bachi Burger

470 E. Windmill Lane, Suite 100, 702-242-2244; Village Square, 9410 W. Sahara Ave., Suite 150, 702-255-3055

If you find yourself shopping near the Las Vegas Premium Outlets South, you might want to stop for a bite down East Windmill Lane at Bachi Burger. The specialty here are burgers sharpened by Asian flavors. All of them — with the exception of the Miyagi-san and McLeod Ranch Grass Fed — are made with 100 percent Angus beef. Choices, ranging from $11 to $14, include the Ban-Mi with beef, pork, shrimp and nuoc mam sauce, and the Ronin with fried egg, miso goma dressing and yuzu citrus aioli. The Kiki features caramelized bacon, sweet onion marmalade, Gruyere cheese and garlic-chili aioli. For those looking for a non-red meat choice, the turkey burger is garnished with herb pesto and brown ale-battered onion rings. The Crusty Crab ($15) is crab cake with mango chutney and tarragon remoulade, while the Bachi Fish ($13) has seared cod with tartar sauce and bubu arare rice crackers. There is also a vegetarian choice, the No Meat Here burger, featuring a house-made veggie burger crafted from red bean, shiitake mushroom and eggplant and served with chili-lime vinaigrette. Steamed bao (a steamed, filled bun) feature Peking duck and pork belly. The oxtail chili cheese fries ($12) are a house favorite. The inside of this contemporary space features local artwork and a bar in the center of the dining room, serving sake and imported beers. An outside eating area is shaded. Bachi Burger on Windmill Lane is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday and Monday, 11 a.m. to midnight, Tuesday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
