Dining Pick of the Week: Hi Scores Bar-Arcade

Hi Scores Bar-Arcade

65 S. Stephanie St., 702-522-7766

Imagine there’s a bar that allows you to play Pac-Man, Frogger, Donkey Kong and various other game consoles free while waiting for your food or enjoying a beer. Well, lucky for you, such a place does not exist only in your imagination — it’s in Henderson. Hi Scores, a bar-arcade, provides customers with a plethora of free entertainment in return for their dining business. Not only does the restaurant serve more than just traditional bar food, but the menu also suggests types of beers that pair well with each meal, including breakfast and dessert. The fig bison burger (bison patty topped with fig jam, bacon, lettuce, tomato and blue cheese and served with fries) pairs with a lager, while the staff recommends a brown ale with the red chili pork tacos (topped with corn, black beans, cabbage and pico de gallo and served with rice and beans). To go with the chicken and artichoke pizza (homemade crust with garlic cream sauce, roasted chicken, grilled artichoke, spinach and mozzarella), a hefeweizen is suggested. Breakfast options, available all day, include breakfast sliders (buns stuffed with sausage, cheese, egg and hash browns) and a veggie omelet (stuffed with green peppers, mushrooms and caramelized onions). Appetizers and desserts also are available. Most dishes range between $6 and $12. Hi Scores is open from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. Happy hour runs from 3 to 6 p.m. daily.
