Dining Pick of the Week: Nacho Daddy

Nacho Daddy

9925 S. Eastern Ave., Henderson, 702-462-5000; 113 N. Fourth St., downtown Las Vegas, 702-778-7800

The inside of Nacho Daddy’s Henderson location is spacious, with oversized tequila labels painted on planks that hang by chains. Patrons can sit in booths or at wooden tables to watch the wall-to-wall flat-screen TVs. There is also a long bar, although the place still maintains a family-friendly feeling. The menu holds true to tradition while introducing a lot of variety. Nachos ($10.95 to $16.95) come as Fiesta, Supreme, enchilada, barbecue pulled pork or chicken, Buffalo, Thai, vegan, Florentine, burger or filet mignon, with house-made chips and a selection of handcrafted sauces, an abundance of cheese and spicy veggies. There’s a full vegan menu, including tacos, burritos and salads. But the grill is the main attraction, with burgers and sandwiches ($9.95 to $11.95) served with fries (regular, sweet potato or garlic Parmesan). Fajitas come with chicken ($18.95, or two for $24.95), shrimp ($21.95, or two for $24.95) or filet mignon ($23.95, or two for $29.95). There are also enchiladas (cheese, chicken, pork, beef or shrimp), oversized burritos (chicken, pork or filet mignon), quesadillas and an assortment of tacos featuring chicken, pork, mahi mahi, shrimp, filet mignon or beef brisket, served a la carte for $6.95 to $7.95 or supreme style with rice and beans for $13.95 to $16.95. For something different there is ribeye ($26.95), chimichurri salmon ($18.95) and even a bacon-wrapped taco dog ($9.95). Taco and Tequila Tuesdays offer buy-one-get-one tequilas with more than 100 to choose from. There is also Trivia Wednesdays and happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday with half-off appetizers, $6 nachos and buy-one-get-one margaritas. For dessert, try the deep-fried ice cream ($7.95). Breakfast is served starting at 7 a.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Nacho Daddy in Henderson is open until 10 p.m. Sunday through Monday and until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The downtown Las Vegas location is open until 2 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday and until 3 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. For more information, visit nachodaddy.com.
