Dining Pick of the Week: Sushi Tachi
January 30, 2015 - 9:10 am
Sushi Tachi
2745 W. Centennial Parkway, 702-645-4967
It’s usually a good sign when you walk into a sushi restaurant and see plenty of people waiting for tables. Sushi Tachi is tucked into the back of a strip mall near the corner of Centennial and Aliante parkways. Though it’s easy to pass by without noticing the sign, patrons still pack in. A traditional menu with meal combinations and lunch specials is available, but Sushi Tachi’s biggest draw is the all-you-can eat option. For around $25 at lunch and $27 at dinner, diners can indulge in unlimited nigiri and hand-rolled sushi, soups, salads, noodle dishes and teriyaki. With winter’s chill still on, it’s easy to love the baked rolls. The cream cheese enveloped Lasagna Roll may not be health food, but it sure tastes good. While many sushi places are slow out of the kitchen, Sushi Tachi’s staff was bustling and rushing dishes to tables. Make sure to save room for dessert — tempura and standard ice cream and mochi are included with all-you-can-eat, as is one sake shooter. Sundays through Wednesdays, the all-you-can-eat also includes all-you-can-drink Bud Light and house sake. The dining room is casual and caters to sports fans with games on the big-screen TVs and football jerseys on the walls. Sushi Tachi is open from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
